OCD DAILY - Issue #354
Welcome to the 354th issue of @OCD Daily!
Issue #354 highlights content from ten (10) Steem Content Creators! The OCD team continues its search throughout Steem to find you the undervalued gems, as provided by relatively new users.
Today our curators found ten (10) new pieces of original content! We strive to find works that are created by newer Steem users, that may not have the audience with which to share their quality content. @OCD strives to help provide that audience and intends to showcase Steem users who put in the extra effort to create creative, original content.
The @OCD nomination process
A curator will FIND a piece of work (typically from newer users). Within 24 hours that piece has been submitted from the curator to the @OCD team, curator votes are tallied, and the pieces with the most votes are included in the compilation.
We encourage you to visit these blogs and show these great Steemians your support and encouragement.
If you enjoyed their work, give them a Follow or maybe even say Hello!
All of the content chosen by our curators is undervalued, but there is always one piece that rises to the top. That piece is universally appreciated and valued by our curators making it OCD’s Top Nomination of the Day.

Our top nomination of the day is from @biffybirdcam
Nature will prevail. A small lumber town Laquin was founded in 1904, when they destroyed all the wood around people abandoned it. 115 later forest is back, and people are still away. @biffybirdcam presents us great aerial shots of this ghost town as well as the beautiful green valley and of course - campfire and burning woods, it's a lumber town!

Our next nomination of the day is from @lion200
Gorgeous article from his visit of the city of Vienna! The photos are wonderful, and the way @lion200 narrated each section brings out a lot of personality and charm into this post. He included many interesting sites (including the Islamic center of Vienna, the Danube Tower, the city itself, Castelletto - a famous ice cream shop, St. Stephen's Cathedral, branded shops' fronts, the majestic Schloß Schönbrunn and its Gloriette), as well as a heart-shaped pizza! If you have never been to Vienna like me but has always been wanting to, this is the post to check to visit the city vicariously through the dusty shoes of @lion200 !

Our next nomination of the day is from @haastrecht
We have all seen the beautiful landscapes of Scotland in the movies. Well apparently those are not fiction and you can go to photograph them, just like @haastrecht went with a bunch of photographer friends and came up with this great pictures of the mountains and the hidden valley.

Our next nomination of the day is from @fedoraonmyhead
@fedoraonmyhead shares with us some conversations he had with individuals looking to use their experience to help others that are facing similar issues within their communities and talks a little about his documentary "The Wall" which sounds like it has to deal with homelessness and addiction as well as the best way to solving the issues without it being too much help.

Our next nomination of the day is from @bflanagin
We all need some time in nature. For that reason the City of Bridgeport bought over 900 acres of land and some of it is dedicated for dreamlike hiking and biking trails. @bflanagin is taking his four-legged critters there to run wild among the explosion flowers that happens there during spring and summer times. He also includes some advice about how to deal with snakes that are not rare guests there. Did you take your walking stick and water with you?

Our next nomination of the day is from @jacinta.sevilla
A wonderful drawing by @jacinta.sevilla again! She shares the photos of the process and explains it well for the curious readers and budding artists. She shares her struggles and tips as well, and the way she humbly asks for opinions on how to improve her work is inspiring.

Our next nomination of the day is from @haydae
@haydae take us on a tour of Marrakesh city in Morocco, and explain the good and not-so-good aspects they discovered about the city. Sharing their experiences along with a lot of pictures in this travel blog, they give us useful information about the food and the sights the city has to offer as well as the things tourists should be careful about during their visit.

Our next nomination of the day is from @tggr
If you've never heard of Mirissa at Sri Lanka before, you should definitely check out this post. Mirissa is a small town with only 5000 people but has a lovely beach and quite a lot on offer. @tggr found a couple of great spots to view the sunset of which both are popular with tourists. The town is quite walkable, no wonder he ended up with so many great photos of the town.

Our next nomination of the day is from @longer
An acrylic still live from start to finish - especially the last picture where you can see the full painting plus the still life in one shot is awesome to me - so much detail was brought to the canvas! @longer currently even has some of his paintings up for viewing in Kraków, Poland, for those that want to see his work with their own eyes.

Another boring acrylics still life

Our final nomination of the day is from @anaerwu
@anaerwu brings us an in-depth look at the new hit film, Pokemon: Detective Pikachu. They take a look at how the film has managed to appeal to not just children, but also many adults. Especially those who might have grown up loving Pokemon, if even only on the outer fringes of the craze that has taken over the world for for more than two decades now. Don't worry though, no spoilers. Unless you consider a character who is normally very hyperactive and running around yelling "Pika! Pika!" in other cartoons and movies having a major coffee addiction a spoiler. To me it just explains so many things.
