You might be aware of @ocdb – and if not, it is a distribution (and I guess technically a bidbot too), but with an emphasis on distribution, because it is 100% non-profit. No third party is taking a cut. Instead, all the STEEM sent to it is being distributed proportionally to delegators. The other group that gets distributed STEEM, is the white-listed content creators who can bid their posts and get around 10% true return for their bid. More on @ocdb and how the whole thing works, can be found from @acidyo, for example, and several Steemians (me included) who have made posts explaining it.
@ocdb has its own site with the whitelist, info about delegators and a list of bids – the last of which being the place – referred on the headline – with something interesting to be potentially found.

I promise my post happened to be accidentally there at the top when taking the screenshot :D
Like @taskmaster4450, I'm using the word "interesting" rather than "quality", because what I think the word "quality" evokes, is an image of a well polished article with mass appeal. This is only a single way to think about quality though, and arguably, something of quality can be thought as just something that catches our interest. And what is interesting, varies a lot in the context of one's social circle, community, or whatever you like to call it. One's quality in a specific community, can be another's trash because it might not make any sense outside of the group's context. So, basically an inside joke. Well, not necessarily a joke, but you know what I mean.
Anyway, sometimes I check where my bid is on the list, not that knowing when it's coming makes any difference really, but what I've caught myself doing, is checking the other bidded posts on the queue.
There's only a selected amount that can utilize the bot – and from that selected group, people are bidding on the posts they themselves deem to be the most worthy (if they post more posts than can be bidded in a week, or just decide to vote only few selected ones), because that is what they want more eyes at. Of course, abusing the bot – like bidding spam – will lead to getting delisted.
Essentially it works also as a promotion tool. This might have not been the primary purpose of the queue list, but since starting to use @ocdb, it has become the place where I most often discover something new from a person I don't follow. Yes, the increased payout after a bid shows it higher in the traditional 'Hot' and 'Trending' tabs, but they have to be found there first, amongst everything else there is, and I am lazy trying to find new content. Usually I find something when it is resteemed by a user I already know.
I guess the queue can be thought as a sort of an algorithm that filters content, and managing to show the higher-end of what there is – in my personal opinion. And even though these things are highly subjective, I believe others can agree with me that it is easier to find something worth reading from the queue, than from the 'New' tab. The fun thing is also that it is constantly rotating with old bids going away and new ones coming in – and with more and more people getting aware of @ocdb, the list is getting longer and more diverse, while also supporting the main goal of the bot: increasing distribution.
I've started to treat it like a second feed. It is how I found this very post. :)
Haha, nice! I was wondering if anyone would find this from there :D
I sometimes go through the queue as well, and have found some nice posts there from users I may not normally come across. I think it's a good source of content. The quality is not always guaranteed of course but it's a good place to start.

Okay, so I was the only one who figured Pornhub when reading the title...sheesh...
On a more serious note, I didn't even know there was a neat place where you could actually see the queue :o that is pretty cool. I should use it more...the bot, I mean.

LOL
Please do. More Steem for you, more Steem for curators – everybody wins :D
Totally agree! Have found some cool posts that way ;)
Seems like there are bunch of others who have done the same :D
