Toy Soldiers
This is my entry to @japhofin8or's Ode Challenge
Little soldiers
In green, in brown, in grey.
Ready for war
Ready for action
There'll be a mighty battle today.
Watch the enemy
See the foe
Intel on the wire.
Rebels sighted
Rifles drawn
"Ready, Aim, Fire!"
Bodies flying
"Fetch the stretcher."
The casualties increase.
Gunfire continues
Shots ring out
When will the death toll cease?
Night draws in
Few men remain
Will there ever be a winner?
Ceasefire agreed
Until tomorrow
I'm off to have my dinner.

Thought this was gonna be a one man show. Glad you entered. This is a really awesome piece. You got right into the battle and to my inner child, then off to dinner. Excellent.
My wife, @carrieallen will probably get in too. @lymmerik has been busy, but I imagine he'll come up with an ode as well!
