Heya beings of all worlds known and unknown!
Here is a little scene I made quite a while ago that I found on my hard drive today.
I used Blender 2.8 at that time to create it, as well as GIMP and Inkscape for the final composition.
It's a really nice process to go through old projects and realize how much you have learned and improved since, and how you would do things differently.
Looking at this scene, I know a few things that I would change, but that I probably did not realize or know about a few months ago.
- The straw hat is too flat, but that gives it a metal look that I kind of dig if I made some kind of cyber samourai art. Oh yes, the ideas are flowing!
- The fireflies next to her face are a little too bright to my tastes, and all of them in general could use a bit more associated volume.
- I am preeeetty sure that I got the alpha layer of the clouds inverted, which is why they kinda look wrong on top of the full moon.
- Should have rendered at triple that sample size and not use Denoising!
What do you think? I'm curious to hear about it!
Cheers!
Love it!😀
Great composition!
