Very cool. I didn't realise you were Russian! I first encountered borsch in Ukraine and loved it. My khozyaika made some great borsch. It's many years since I've had it so you've inspired me to try making it myself. I always had dill and parsley on top. In fact my khozyaika put dill on pretty much everything!
D'you ever make okroshka? I wasn't so keen on that, but I imagine that would be more suitable to a place where the temperatures are like what you're experiencing there!
Wow man that is so nice to hear, i'm really glad that i inspired you to make some borscht!
I ate the whole thing already, Was so good.
My favorite soup in the world!
I don't really make okroshka and i actually don't really remember how it looks though haha. And yes i'm Russian originally but i grew up in Israel.
You couldn't tell that by the accent though?
I heard you say once that you'd been in the Israeli army so I just figured it was an Israeli accent!
If I remember correctly, okroshka was cold cucumber soup. I'm not a fan of cucumber so I hated the soup!
Haha yeah i remember this!
Im not a big fan of this one..
Borscht is way way better!
