Nice summary. To answer your question; the most practical way would be to have a unified format, and start declaring what what is. The blockchain itself is brutal; it doesn't really care what what is. IF apps start declaring (registering attribtues through OpenAttribute), they would help themselves, -and- other apps, and make it easier for (new) developers to understand what what is. Where blockchain doesnt care, developers should, and probably would care. If you want to build algorhytms, you first need to declare and identify what what is. :)
It would boost up innovation, there is some backlog, but not much work. Trust + adoption should be key here. But then again; the blockchain is brutal; it doesn't really care if you adopt it or not. It's there for anyone, I just made something where others can build on top of it, or choose to ignore it.
