Steemit Open Mic Week 66 - ''La casa de al lado'' - Fernando Cabrera (Cover)

in #openmic6 years ago

Hi Steemit!
This is my entry for week 66, It's the first time that I make an entry for the Open Mic so I'm really excited (Thanks to @pechichemena for encouranging me to do it)
The song I played is called ''La casa de al lado'' (''The house next door'' translated to english), written by Uruguayan songwriter Fernando Cabrera, but the version that I did is inspired on Hugo Fattorusso's take of the song.

Estoy llorando
tou me acostumbrando
y estoy llorando

Acá en esta cuadra viven mil
Clavamos en tiempo en un cartel
Somos como brujos del reloj
Ninguno parece envejecer

Here's a translation

There's no time, no hours, no clocks
There's no before, no after or maybes
There's no away, no old, no never
In that forgotten disability

If everyone starts to think
Life is longer every time
I bet my life once more
There's no during or after

Stop, don't repeat it once more
Us and them, you and I
I don't one anybody in my place
I don't want anybody testing my heart

There's no tango
no trick, no lie
There's no harm
that lives for a hundred years
There's good wheather, finally
but no money
I'm crying
I'm getting used to it
And I'm still crying

There's a lot of people living in this block
We thrust or time in a sign
We're like sorcerers of time
No one seems to get old

My grandfather told me
My grandfather told me that, maybe
His grandfather know how to answer
If time gets longer as time passes by

The year flyes by
There's nobody who can reach us now
And I'm watching, Sitting at the fields
how this year flyes by

Time isn't passing, neither the years
They made up stuff with stuff from the past
The house next door never awaits for anybody
It keeps remembering, it remembers by dreaming, It keeps remembering

Thank you for listening, and thanks to @luzcypher and @pfunk for keeping the Open mic alive! See you next post !
