Here's my song for Hive Open Mic Week 53
This week's TOYS theme was a weird one for me until I remembered these opening lines about putting pennies on railroad tracks. Do kids all over the world do this? I wonder if these kinds of "toys" go all the way back to the earliest days of the railroad?
Put a penny on the railroad track
The one's that leave here don't turn back
Fast steel sounds frightening
Hot copper smells like lightning
