LONE WOLVES TOGETHER: HIVE OPEN MIC WEEK 21

I have a new single releasing on the Autumn Equinox, Tuesday, September 22.

"Lone Wolves Together" is a song about banding together with the families we choose. It's about love and need, and it's about community in a time when community has become a critical source of mutual aid.

When I saw that this week's Hive Open Mic theme was Unity I wanted to share this solo version with you as a preview.

Lyrics:

Lone wolves, together
Against any kind of weather
Come lance or lace or leather
We'll be lone wolves, together

Never good at covering up your tracks,
but never better 'bout never looking back
Grab your rifle baby, grab your rack
Make your soup from a stone.
Tie your world up in a sack

Never thinking 'bout tomorrow's gain
when you're hunkered down in yesterday's pain
Never doubting 'bout this life we chose
with our hearts full of love
and holes in our clothes

In the city at night you can't see the light
of the stars that bright this sacred site
where we gather to pray in our simple way
for what we may, for a brand new day

Please enjoy this performance from Nashville, TN. Look forward to more news about my upcoming release.
