This is my first entry to the Steemit #openmic weekly contest by @luzcypher. I thought it would be fun to participate as this gives me another opportunity to take out the Ukulele, the only other time these days is during the #steemgigs show by @surpassinggoogle on Sundays. I hope to improve my strumming skills.

I'm not a songwriter so will probably not perform any original songs anytime soon. So, for this first entry in the contest, I've chosen to do a cover of "Blowing in The Wind" by Bob Dylan.

The Ukulele is a Mele Mahogany solid top in concert size tuned with a lower G chord. For this video, I wanted to test the Zoom iQ6 XY Lightning microphone for the iPhone. I think the microphone position is slightly too far as it is recording a bit too much of the room sound. I'll try to bring it closer next time.

Here is the Youtube version:

Here are the lyrics:

How many roads must a man walk down
Before they can call him a man?
How many seas must a white dove sail

Before she sleeps in the sand?
How many times must the cannon balls fly
Before they're forever banned?

The answer, my friend, is blowin' in the wind
The answer is blowin' in the wind

How many years can a mountain exist
Before it is washed to the sea?
How many years can some people exist
Before they're allowed to be free?
How many times can a man turn his head
And pretend that he just doesn't see?

The answer, my friend, is blowin' in the wind
The answer is blowin' in the wind

How many times must a man look up
Before he can see the sky?
How many ears must one man have
Before he can hear people cry?
How many deaths will it take 'til he knows
That too many people have died?

The answer, my friend, is blowin' in the wind
The answer is blowin' in the wind

The chords are: Are just C F G and a Am in the chorus.
