Esta mañana al levantarme, al tomar el celular, revise mi cuenta de instagram y me encuentro con una versión del tema Signos de Soda Stereo, esta versión fue hecha por Félix Duque (El Gato), ex vocalista de una banda de Pop Rock venezolana llamada Radio Clip, cuya propuesta musical innovadora a final de los años ochenta hizo que algunos los catalogaran como los Sodas Venezolanos. Esta interpretación en particular recrea en su video una atmosfera densa, mistica y transcendental.
This morning when I woke up, I checked my instagram account and found a version of the song Signos by Soda Stereo, this version was made by Felix Duque (El Gato), former vocalist of a Venezuelan Pop Rock band called Radio Clip, whose innovative musical proposal at the end of the eighties made some people label them as the Venezuelan Sodas. This particular interpretation recreates in its video a dense, mystical and transcendental atmosphere.
Soda Stereo es una es una banda del rock argentina formada en Buenos Aires en 1982 por : Gustavo Cerati (voz, guitarra), Zeta Bosio (bajo) y Charly Alberti (batería). Su debut discográfico fue en 1984, con el álbum homónimo a su nombre, contando con la producción de Federico Moura vocalista de la Banda Virus. Su segundo álbum Nada Personal fue editado en noviembre de 1985, este lp los catapulto al éxito en los países sudamericanos como Chile, Perú, Colombia.

Para esos años en Venezuela los escuchaba en programas de radio especializados de rock en español, pero para esos años no había sido editado ese lp en Venezuela. Para 1986 es lanzado en Venezuela,siendo invitados por un famoso Animador amante del rock en español Guillermo González a su programa de televisión Fantástico.
For those years in Venezuela I listened to them in radio programs specialized in rock in Spanish, but for those years this lp had not been edited in Venezuela. By 1986 it is released in Venezuela, being invited by a famous Spanish rock lover Guillermo Gonzalez to his TV show Fantástico.
Para este año 1987 es contratado para presentarse en el estudio Mata de Coco en Caracas en medio de su gira promocional de su tercer lp Signos. Aprovecharían ese concierto para grabar la sección de metales y coros a ser incluido en su lp en vivo Ruido Blanco.
For this year 1987 is hired to perform at the studio Mata de Coco in Caracas in the middle of their promotional tour of their third lp Signos. They would take advantage of this concert to record the brass section and choirs to be included in their live album Ruido Blanco.
El lp Signos realmente fue el primer lp de ellos que compre. Era una novedad para esa época. Sus temas me parecían contener algo místico e indescifrable, que me hacía buscarle significados ocultos.
Según cuenta la leyenda Cerati dijo respecto al álbum que escribía todas las letras de un solo golpe, sentía que estaba alejado del arte y sin embargo fue uno de sus discos más profundos, quizás porque no la estaban pasando bien por el exceso de cansancio por el repentino éxito y extensas giras por sud América. A raíz del mismo debieron replantear sus estilos de vida.
The Signos lp was actually the first lp of theirs that I bought. It was a novelty for that time. Their songs seemed to me to contain something mystical and indecipherable, that made me look for hidden meanings. According to legend, Cerati said about the album that he wrote all the lyrics in a single stroke, he felt he was far from art and yet it was one of his most profound albums, perhaps because they were not having a good time due to the excessive fatigue caused by the sudden success and extensive touring in South America. As a result they had to rethink their lifestyles.
Signos occupies a special place in the history of the Argentine recording industry because in 1987 it became the first album by an Argentine artist to be released in compact disc format. It had to be manufactured in Austria, since there were no CD manufacturing machines in Argentina yet, and from there it was sent to all Latin America.
Escuchar a Gustavo Cerati en 1993 decir en una entrevista que sus letras tenían un significado, pero que el un día se sentaría a analizarlo para ver cuál era, me dejo devastado. Entender que letras que rimen y que forme parte de la música me parecía ilógico, pero después entendí que así era su arte. Las letras de Gustavo Cerati como solista si encontramos muchos elementos y conceptos relacionados a la nueva era ,temas como otras vidas ,reencarnaciones ,viajes astrales y hasta palabras que aluden a presencias de espíritus.
Hearing Gustavo Cerati in 1993 say in an interview that his lyrics had a meaning, but that one day he would sit down and analyze it to see what it was, left me devastated. To understand that lyrics that rhyme and are part of the music seemed illogical to me, but later I understood that this was his art.
A mi manera de ver Soda Stereo fue una de las Bandas de Rock en Español más importantes de todas las épocas ya que demostró que el Rock latino podría vender con una estrategia de marketing que abarcaba desde una interpretación musical de calidad, originales letras, vestuario a la moda y una escenografía espectaculares. A pesar de venerarla no puedo considerarla la mejor de la historia del Rock en español, ya que cada banda ha tenido sus épocas, sonidos y público diferentes.
In my opinion, Soda Stereo was one of the most important Rock en Español bands of all times because it proved that Latin Rock could sell with a marketing strategy that included quality musical interpretation, original lyrics, fashionable costumes and spectacular scenery. Although I venerate her, I cannot consider her the best in the history of Rock en Español, since each band has had its different times, sounds and audience.
Antes de escuchar a Soda Stereo ya había grupos de Rock En Español, sobretodo venezolano que me gustaron bastante como lo fue, la Misma Gente, Resistencia, Arcángel y Grand Bite en el género del Heavy Metal y en el género de New Wave Tempano, Aditus y Pps.
Before listening to Soda Stereo there were already Rock bands in Spanish, especially Venezuelan that I liked quite a lot as it was, the Same People, Resistencia, Arcángel and Grand Bite in the genre of Heavy Metal and in the genre of New Wave Tempano, Aditus and Pps.
A la par de Soda Stereo en la segunda mitad de los años ochenta en Venezuela surgió otras bandas como: Spias, Radio Clip, Fuga, Sentimiento Muerto, Desorden Público y Zapato 3, que me volaron las neuronas con sus conceptos musicales.

El Lp Signo de Soda Stereo contenía temas como Persiana Americana, No Existes, Sin Sobresaltos, Prófugos, todos en la misma línea en cuanto a sus letras. Lo que los hizo catapultar a la fama. Como antes decía el buscarle sentido a las letras nos hacía adaptarla a situaciones particulares, tal y como lo percibíamos que querían decir. De ahí su trascendencia, ya que en mi caso particular pasaría metafóricamente a formar parte de mi ADN.
Soda Stereo's Lp Signo contained songs such as Persiana Americana, No Existes, Sin Sobresaltos, Prófugos, all in the same line in terms of lyrics. This is what catapulted them to fame. As I said before, the search for meaning in the lyrics made us adapt them to particular situations, just as we perceived what they wanted to say. Hence its transcendence, since in my particular case it would metaphorically become part of my DNA.
A mis 54 años todavía escucho a Soda Stereo y Música de Gustavo Cerati como solista. Estamos hablando de 40 años de música de Soda Stereo. Y siempre está unido a nuestro presente. De hecho surgieron muchas bandas tributo a Soda Stereo en Latinoamerica y Norteamerica haciendo revivir a sus fans de aquellos momentos en que sus fans presenciaron en vida sus conciertos.
At the age of 54, I still listen to Soda Stereo and Gustavo Cerati's music as a soloist. We're talking about 40 years of Soda Stereo music. And it is always attached to our present. In fact, many Soda Stereo tribute bands emerged in Latin America and North America making their fans relive those moments when their fans witnessed their concerts in life.
Debido al éxito de estas bandas ,para el mes de octubre de 2019, tuvimos la gran sorpresa de que Zeta Bossio y Charly Alberti miembros restantes de Soda Stereo anunciaron que realizarían una gira tributo a Soda Stereo llamada Gracias Totales a través de un vídeo y una carta a sus seguidores en las redes sociales.
Due to the success of these bands, for the month of October 2019, we had the great surprise that Zeta Bossio and Charly Alberti remaining members of Soda Stereo announced that they would perform a Soda Stereo tribute tour called Gracias Totales through a video and a letter to their followers on social networks.
Esta comenzó el 29 de febrero de 2020 en el Estadio El Campín de Bogotá, Colombia. En su agenda estaría : Argentina, Perú, Chile, México, Paraguay, Estados Unidos, lamentablemente por los problemas económicos y políticos Venezuela quedo excluida ,siendo siempre uno de los primeros países en donde tocaban en sus giras . La pandemia de COVID-19 afecto los conciertos restantes de la gira y fueron re programados para los años 2021 y 2022.
It began on February 29, 2020 at the El Campín Stadium in Bogotá, Colombia. On their agenda would be: Argentina, Peru, Chile, Mexico, Paraguay, United States, unfortunately due to economic and political problems Venezuela was excluded, being always one of the first countries where they played on their tours. The COVID-19 pandemic affected the remaining concerts of the tour and they were rescheduled for the years 2021 and 2022.
En la gira Gracias Totales, Zeta Bosio y Charly Alberti fueron acompañados por varios cantantes en vivo y en vídeos pre grabados, como son: Juanes, Simón Bosio (hijo de Zeta), Benito Cerati (hijo de Gustavo), Julieta Venegas, Catupecu Machu, Gustavo Santaolalla, Coleman, Zorrito Von Quintiero, Chris Martin, Adrián Dárgelos, Rubén Albarrán, Álvaro Henríquez, Mon Laferte entre otros.
On the Gracias Totales tour, Zeta Bosio and Charly Alberti were accompanied by several singers live and in pre-recorded videos, such as: Juanes, Simón Bosio (son of Zeta), Benito Cerati (son of Gustavo), Julieta Venegas, Catupecu Machu, Gustavo Santaolalla, Coleman, Zorrito Von Quintiero, Chris Martin, Adrián Dárgelos, Rubén Albarrán, Álvaro Henríquez, Mon Laferte among others.
Para enero del 2023 una colaboración de Shakira y el Dj Bzrp denominada : BZRP Music Sessions #53 ( Pa tipos como tu) ,se coloco en pocas horas de su estreno como uno de los mas colocado en youtube y plataformas streeming ,superando los récord que tenia el tema Despacito de Luis Fonsi. Dicho tema llamado Pa tipos como tú,esta dedicado al futbolista español Gerald Pique por parte de su ex pareja Shakira.
For January 2023 a collaboration of Shakira and the DJ Bzrp called: BZRP Music Sessions #53 (Pa guys like you), was placed within a few hours of its premiere as one of the most placed on YouTube and streaming platforms, surpassing the records held by the song Despacito by Luis Fonsi. This song called Pa tipos como tú, is dedicated to the Spanish footballer Gerald Pique by his ex-partner Shakira.
Uno de los primeros memes que vi en redes sociales fue uno donde Cerati le dice a Shakira; decir adiós es crecer, en alusión a la letra agresiva de la canción de despecho por su separación . Esa estrofa forma parte de la canción Adiós, la cual fue un tema compuesto por Gustavo Cerati y su hijo Benito Cerati e incluida en su producción discográfica del año 2006, Ahí Vamos.
One of the first memes I saw on social networks was one where Cerati says to Shakira; to say goodbye is to grow up, alluding to the aggressive lyrics of the song in spite of their separation. That verse is part of the song Adiós, which was a song composed by Gustavo Cerati and his son Benito Cerati and included in their 2006 record production, Ahí Vamos.
Dicha letra es interpretada por muchos como el proceso de comprensión de un ruptura sentimental,
donde aceptar la ruptura en buenos términos ,sin rencores ,odios y espectáculos, es crecer ,es trascender el problema y enfocarse en cosas buenas que vendrán. Y saber que ese amor no se pierde ,sino se transforma.
Said lyrics are interpreted by many as the process of understanding a sentimental breakup,
where to accept the breakup on good terms, without grudges, hatreds and shows, is to grow, is to transcend the problem and focus on good things to come. And to know that this love is not lost, but transformed.

Cabe destacar que Cerati en el 2005 participo y produjo un tema muy hermoso con Shakira, llamado un día especial para el cd fijación oral volumen uno. Este tema lo canto Shakira en sus giras internacionales, hasta que al final pudo interpretarla junto a Gustavo Cerati en un concierto realizado el 7 de julio de 2007 de Live Eart en Hamburgo, Alemania.
It should be noted that in 2005 Cerati participated and produced a very beautiful song with Shakira, called un día especial for the cd fijación oral volume one. This song was sung by Shakira on her international tours, until at the end she was able to perform it together with Gustavo Cerati at a concert held on July 7, 2007 of Live Earth in Hamburg, Germany.
La letra poética de esta canción ,trata de una ruptura sentimental donde la decisión costo mucho tomarla ,pero era insostenible y permite renacer a los involucrados dejando atrás los errores del pasado.
The poetic lyrics of this song, deals with a sentimental breakup where the decision cost a lot to make, but it was unsustainable and allows those involved to be reborn leaving behind the mistakes of the past.
A continuación les dejo la letra de la canción , juzguen ustedes mismos la diferencia entre narrar una ruptura en forma poética de una relación ,a la Canción Pa tipos como tu, que lejos de ser un bandera del empoderamiento femenino ,no es mas que una tiradera como le dicen ,insultos y ofensas directas hacia otra persona ,aunque sea justificada como es a mi consideración , ya que El Sr Pique debería ser un caballero y tener la sutileza adecuada para terminar una relación con la madre de sus hijos.
