One of the weird things for me is there's this perception that everything is autotuned crap, because that's what gets media headlines, while regular, excellently-written, people-performed music is having something of a golden age. There are more incredible musicians putting out more incredible work than ever before, even within the purview of standard recorded music. It's just that mainstream radio and press-dominant music is kind of like the Steemit Trending page.
Like Steemit, though, there are large rewards waiting for someone willing to put in the effort to go looking for it.
Thanks for the thoughtful response. Personally I haven't seen my musical heroes dethroned (Beatles, Dylan etc) but I hear you.
