Winter Solstice - Reflection
Feeling in tune with my deck :)
I thought a week of oracle cards would be fun for the holiday week. This morning I pulled Winter Solstice - Reflection from the Earth Magic Oracle deck.
I love the imagery of this card.
As the wheel of the year turns we enter the time of rest and reflection. Winter covers the earth with a blanket of snow. The cold weather keeps many of us inside with plenty of time for meditation and self reflection. Each day begins to get just a little longer and a little lighter. Soon enough the icy blanket of snow will melt and the earth will be reborn anew!
This card signifies a time to reflect on the past. Meditate on the previous year a little. Think about what you've learned. Acknowledge both your victories and your short comings. This is a time to learn from both our victories and defeats. Focus on what worked in the past, and leave behind what no longer serves our greater good.
As you reflect on the year now closing behind us focus on the future. Decide what you want to manifest in the coming year. Meditate on birthing these manifestations just like the earth is born anew in the spring. Focus on your dreams, hopes and wishes like a spring flower that blooms in the future!
We are now leaving the past behind us, and entering a time to analyze our thoughts, hopes and wishes. It's time to focus on our dreams and make them reality!
