How I got here

Crypto currency was relatively new when I first heard of the word, at least where I'm from. It sounded very alien and too technology-based. The concept was foreign, we were not allowed access to so much knowledge ( I would partially say the environment I grew up in was a contributor to this farce). Of course, we owe it to ourselves to always search out knowledge and increase learning, but when you come from a very lowly background, trust me, other things take your priorities.

And then I was in the University, a few years later and heard of zarfund( a seeming scheme that allows you accumulate Bitcoin by referrals method) after an initial deposit to an upline and all.... Still too foreign to a local boy, but hey, what's there not to make money from it? And so my journey into crypto began. Invested all the money I saved from side jobs( about $40 at the time) and bought my first Bitcoin, created a wallet and had it saved there.
Growth was slow, trust me, the promise was different from what I was seeing and I couldn't hold on for long. By now, I had a friend who already had 1 BTC in her wallet ( Bitcoin was around $600 at the time) and she was my team lead. She asked us to continue holding, local man was hungry, had to sell. Made a profit ( about 100% returns ) on invested sum and man, did it feel sweet.
Wanted to reinvest, scheme went south, pulled out and lost all interest in anything crypto based. Fast forward to 2018( three years later) and the whole world was agog with everything crypto. By now, I have a friend who was slowly, but progressively earning crypto by completing simple tasks online. Filled me in, got interested, created an account and jumped ship, again. By the time we were out of school, my friend had made a killing from earning crypto. And yes, I felt betrayed by my own ignorance.
When I first got introduced to a platform where write articles and earn crypto, it sounded funny, but then, I reminded myself of missed opportunities and how much the world has changed at the moment, and thought it wouldn't change a thing about it if I didn't try, and here I am, on leofinance for the first time, sharing my story to an amazing community ( I heard y'all amazing folks).

"Crypto might just be the saviour of us all" is what I've learned to associate my thoughts around. Maybe late, but I look forward to learning from this wonderful community, share new ideas, meet amazing people, probably travel the world( if you're paying) and of course, make money from writing..... doesn't get sweeter than that.
Cryptos are here to stay, I've accepted the reality and I'm hoping to use this platform to inspire and encourage a lot of young persons in my local community to come onboard.
