RE: Inland Northwest Sporting Goods Report

in #outdoors4 years ago

Last time I went to my local gun shop, the gun racks were half-empty for the first time, and the shop was limiting customers to one box of ammo in any given calibre, but prices hadn't increased. I picked up a case of .357 magnum for my revolver, just because. If the fecal matter verily collides with the air circulation device, at least I have over a thousand rounds of 7.62x39 Russian steelcase for the AK-47 - along with ten 30-round magazines. I really need to get into reloading, the problem is that equipment for that is also in short supply, and I don't have a good place to set it up at the moment, anyway. At the very least, there is no shortage of brass or lead for .45-70, since that's not a particularly popular cartridge... yet.

I really MUST remember this turn of phrase!

Primers are probably the biggest problem. It's originally a black powder cartridge for cast lead bullets, after all.

I'm aware... which reminds me, I need to get more black powder for the flintlock, since I'm running a bit low, and I need to get in a lot more practise.
