2 Weeks Into Splinterlands

in #p2e4 years ago

Hello and Happy Holidays to everyone! If you've been following my articles I've been writing about play to earn games. Splinterlands was the first play to earn game that I stumbled across, and I was hooked at first. Play to earn? Holy crap! Sign me up! I started off playing the tutorial, and then playing aaaaa loooottttt of practice games until I thought, "Damn, maybe I could win a ranked game now". And did I? HEEEELLLL NO. I lost my first 5 games! I'm super competitive so losing that many times sorta ticked me off. Most of my opponents had cards I didn't have, so I thought to myself you know what, I'll put in twenty USD and get some of my own cards. I ended up buying a few of my own and then decided to rent some as well. My deck was STACKED. I won my very first ranked game, matter of fact I went on a 7 game win streak. (Pay to win yay..) During this run with my stacked deck I racked up 41 DEC. I've been completing the daily quests hoping to expand my deck even more, But sadly I've received maybe 28 credits from quests and two potions. My first season rewards I did managed to get two cards, the other rewards were either potions(the lesser potions). Sadly the two cards I did snag were the same card so I decided to combine the two, eventually leveling it up when I get enough of the same card. The card itself wasn't anything special though. One thing I love about this game is that I'm able to play on my iphone. My biggest concern so far is the daily quests don't pay out as well as I would like them too. I know it'd be ridiculous to award out a high percentage chance of a card, but there should at least be something where you collect chest keys or something similar every time you open a daily quest on top of getting your rewards. Once getting enough keys you should be able to turn in for a card, more keys the better the card. The game itself hasn't really kept my attention, but I keep coming back for the daily quest just to receive 5 credits. But I shall stick with it a while longer. I will give an update once this season is over or if I receive anything special from a daily quest
