So after thinking about how my STEEM Power interacts with my staked SPT and PAL, I decided to go full multiple personalities.
I created @neal.pal and @neal.spt and either am delegating (PAL) or powering down and moving (SPT) so that I can have finer control over my voting power on each instance.
I would have created neal.steem also, but it's too much hassle with followers and such to change now.
Have had the same thought. I was actually surprised when I discovered they interact like they do. Separating will allow you to maximize both, best of luck!
