That time I went to a SIV - Safety Clinic for Paragliding

This will be the first time that I load a "YT Short"

There was a group of us that signed up for a SIV training in Southern California.

This is a simulated incident training.

They pull you up by a boat to the altitude of between 2500 ft and 4000 ft depending on the day. Once you are at altitude, you will have the instructor that is on the ground giving you commands.

In this simulated event, Amber who is a good friend was going to attempt a maneuver called a SAT. It's a maneuver that is most common in the ACRO paragliding groups. We all wanted to try this maneuver but would not try it over ground.

Amber became entangled in her wing when things went wrong and she had to throw her reserve parachute. She was totally find in the end, just wet and shook up. That didn't stop her from flying tho, once her stuff was clean and dry she sent it again.

Enjoy this little video

BTW, I heard that YT is going to start paying people for Shorts but they are going to take 45%. I really hate YT. LOL
