Kids holidays means engaging them for twenty four hours so that you don’t have to face their empty-mind-devils-workshop acts. But luckily this time of holidays my daughter is not troubling me and not giving me hard time.
Kids get lots of birthday presents on their birthdays. I don’t let her open all the gifts at once. Kids don’t value when they see things in abundance. So I allow only one gift to be opened at a time, rest all go inside and they are opened one by one during their holidays.
Since her birthday she had an eye on one of the gifts packet that was Solar Energy Mechanix Robot kit. The very first day of her holiday she reminded me of my promise to open that gift. And as a good mother I fulfilled my promise and allowed her. The enthusiasm to play with it was remarkable. I have noticed when kids have to wait for something, they cherish and enjoy more because they understand the value of it.
These holidays I am not facing any hassle and bickering, she is so engrossed in her own world, making robots and then running down to test it in Solar Energy. I am one happy mommy who is not complaining at all and enjoying very bit of relaxed holidays.
Kids have abundance of energy with hell lotta impish mind so it becomes vital that we channelise it properly. I believe kids are like unbaked clay, who can be moulded to any shape and any character, only the sculptor should be skillfull.
