Running with perspective

in #partiko5 years ago

Yesterday was Malaysia Day and in conjunction with it a 10km city run was held by the local council to celebrate this historical day, and certainly is historical for me, as this was my first ever 10km run (though most of 80% of it was walking). Not a big fan of joining and paying for any marathon, I repeatedly declined my manager's advance to participate, but being persuasive as she is, I finally gave in.

Though it started with being skeptical, I ended the marathon with a feeling of fulfilment as it was surprisingly a rewarding experience. This is the only time I get to experience Kota Kinabalu City in a pedestrian point of view when all these while I had been driving and didn't get to enjoy the city. Overall it was a good experience, however running is still no my favourite. Lol.
