Nature can be absolutely stunning and it can also be very painful. Pick your poison. I had the opportunity to go and get great shots and at great physical expense! That is the life of someone that enjoys photography for their entire life, but life takes a hard hit on those whom have enjoyed a outdoor lifestyle—with time. It is part of life. I am still oh so grateful for the things I get to see and when able to enjoy them. This old Ceiba Tree has seen better days, but it still holds on after who knows how many centuries (yes, it is that old).
Photograph taken by Coquiunlimited in Ponce, Puerto Rico.
Tidbit: Ponce is known for its’ delicious fruit called Quenepas and the tree above called La Ceiba tree is a historical landmark where once the Taino natives lived and cooked. The river is right next to the tree making it a perfect dwelling area.
