I've been thinking about which plants to start early on the window sill and came upon the clear plastic boxes that Feldsalat comes in. If you fill one with earth + seeds and put another on top, it's just like the propagators you can buy for a lot of money...

Good idea! Mushroom packs work too. Super markets use more and more paper boden + plastic foil these days though ;) I also use Frischkäse for seed testing, tomato & pepper germination. There are a log of things we can recycle for gardening.
