I've been featured by @lady-idra last week, I've joined steemit in April and I'm still struggling to find my bearings in this ocean. I read about the @pifc Curation Contest days before but I must admit I had no clue about its purpose. Having received at least 4 new comments of steemians clearly stating that they found me through this curation contest, I can only confirm that it has worked for me, it has helped me getting more exposure, more upvotes and definitely cleared up some grey areas on how the curation works, here on steemit.
I'm actually thinking to pick up the challenge and forward an entry myself... :-)

If you could share what wasn't clear that would be really helpful.
Glad that your being featured helped out your post and look forward to seeing your entry!
I believe the "Pay It Forward Curation Contest" post is laid out quite clearly and rules are easy to follow.
I wouldn't have had any problem if I wasn't confused about the real meaning of curation, since curation reward is paid out as a consequence of upvoting, while resteeming, which is more like pointing out interesting content, is not classified as curation (?)..... or at least not rewarded.
Ok, maybe I'm still a little confused... :D
