Pay It Forward Week 6

This is my submission to the week 6 curation contest started by @thedarkhorse. You can read the fine details to it here.

The contest is an effort to help newer members be discovered, which given the current state of the feeds is a must for the health of the platform. The retention rate is horrible as most come here, post to the sound of crickets and quietly leave as quick as they came. The rules are that you feature 3 people whose QUALITY posts add benefit to the community. You write up what it is about this persons writing that drew your attention, with a link to their most current post so people will have time to read and upvote it if it strikes a chord with them.

Before I feature this weeks finds, I want to shed some light on something for all to think about. Being I now have 2 weeks under my belt, that is 6 people I have featured. After I hit publish on this bad boy right here it will be 9. I asked one of the judges who nudged me into this great idea (@energyaddict22) how I was supposed to keep up with all of the people I am finding as over the weeks 3 people add up quickly on top of all the great people I am finding above level 50. Without going into his reply, I will admit I still see how this could become a long term problem. Votes are spent so quickly, so many quality posts if one knows how to look, deserving reward.

It hit me before starting this a few moments ago to look through the 6 I have already featured and see if perhaps I had missed them participating in this great idea. Of the 6 I have featured so far, 1 has decided to participate. I understand why another of the 6 is not participating as they are so busy in their schooling they have no time to post their own content at the moment. But so far, of the 6 featured only @k0wsk1 has chosen to participate. You can find his entry here.

Thank you for understanding the importance of this project and joining us, @k0wsk1.

Many of you replied to me with excitement, surprised to be noticed and held out to others to examine your quality. Is this not a gift you would want to give others? While I want to support as many people as I can, the truth of the matter is that the ones who will get my support first are the ones that I appreciate not only their writing, but their sense of responsibility to the community as well. While I am not saying that you must participate or else no love, please understand that while I find your writing compelling for a reason, I am already finding it hard to keep up with supporting all the great posters I have already followed. Every day finds me not commenting/upvoting many worthy posts in my feed as I simply do not have it within my power to do so. You can bet though that when I am scanning through my feed deciding, one of the deciding factors is how much the poster gives to the community helping to build others up. Most of us are starting here as small seeds that can use some sunshine. Please understand to others here YOU can be that sunshine. So with that out of the way, here are this weeks finds.

@innerspace

I appreciate minds that are directed at complex subjects, whether I agree with the conclusions or not. I have still not decided whether I align with the conclusions reached in the post I am about to post the link for. But regardless of whether I do or don't, or remain undecided, what a treat to find someone sharing their thoughts on ideas that provoke one to search within.

@wolfhart

I appreciate not only his sense of humor, but if you look at his actions here on the platform it is evident he wants to help the community. I discovered him from the comments section of another I was already following. You can read the post that made me smile here.

@willymac

Finding him as well in the comments section of another, I appreciate his insights and ability for self deprecation as it is endearing to find someone who can laugh at their folly. It is a gift that helps me to laugh at my own. Not his latest post, but is my favorite.

A big thank you to all who are helping this grow. We are the community and we will determine the success of our community. Never fool yourself into thinking your voice isn't a beautiful one that can grace those who experience it.

Thanks for your entry. All featured posts have been upvoted.

Thank you for entering this contest and thank you especially for recognizing its' value. I too am a firm believer in nurturing this platform, especially from the foundation up. I'm a part of several groups here who do just that; @newbieresteemday, @greetersguild, @asapers to name just a few. There are so many who start here by looking at the dismal Trending feed, and spend their time looking upwards in the hopes of success. My hope is to help nurture 'newbies' to develop community through genuine commenting especially, and together, grow successfully with a focus on looking out as opposed to in.

I'm looking forward to checking out your entries. Thank you again!

Thank you for being a leader here despite your life struggles. It is amazing that you devote so much of your energies to kindness for others.

Thank you @practicalthought; that is very kind of you to say. It's been my thing since I was a little girl; I'm just very empathetic I think.

Wow thanks for picking one of my posts, @practicalthought. It feels really good to have some support early in the game. Definitly keeps me going :)
And makes one aware that this is a team player game ;)

And Im glad you say, that your not sure if you agree with the conclusion of my post or not. Everybody should make up his own mind. What I write about is merely my own experience, and its up to everybody to verify for themselves what all this is about ;)

Exactly. You took full ownership that the ideas presented were your understanding when you began with

My answer is simple.

Instead of trying to dictate what the answer is, you shared your understanding, which is how all true discussion is had. So not only does your mind dwell on important/complex dynamics, you present it with an openness to people agreeing/disagreeing voluntarily. It was a joy to read your thoughts as you present them, a joy to watch my thoughts as I considered your answers to the subject. Thank you and will be stopping by regularly to find what other thoughts you have that provoke me to understand myself.
