There is a very old legend in Japan, where it is said that Narcissus escaped to a lake and when he saw himself reflected in it he fell in love with him and could never take his eyes off that lake. In the year 1966 the Japanese artist Yayoi Kusama created one of the most emblematic and recognized works of art, the famous Narciso Garden. This work consists of 1,500 mirrored plastic balls that are placed on the ground without any specific position, in order that each visitor is reflected in him, playing the role of Narcissus and allowing reflection on each one. As a curious fact in the first exhibition held at the Jardin Narcisio Yayoi dressed in a golden kimono, he placed himself in the center of the room and during the exhibition he sold every little ball for 2 dollars.

This exhibition has been held annually in many different places in the world from Brazil to England and always catches the attention of the visitor, who out of curiosity or admiration ends visiting the Narcissus Garden. As a curious fact, many artists have used this concept of Narcissism in their works, including mirrors around their works, always with the purpose of making the viewer part of the art.

Existe una leyenda muy antigua en Japón, en donde se dice que Narciso escapó a un Lago y cuando se vió reflejado en el mismo se enamoró de él y jamás pudo apartar su mirada de ese lago. En el año 1966 la artista japonesa Yayoi Kusama creo una de las obras más emblematicas y reconocidas del arte, el famoso Jardín Narciso esta obra consta de 1.500 bolas de plástico espejado que se colocan en el suelo sin ninguna posición determinada, con la finalidad de que cada visitante se vea reflejado en él, desempeñando el papel de Narciso y permitiendo reflexionar sobre cada uno. Como dato curioso en la primera exposición realizada del Jardin Narcisio Yayoi se vistió con un kimono dorado, se coloco en el centro del salón y durante la exposición vendió cada bolita en 2 dolares.
Esta exposición se ha llevado a cada anualmente en muchos y diversos lugares del mundo desde Brasil hasta Inglaterra y siempre llama la atención del visitante, que por curiosidad o admiración termina visitando el Jardin Narciso. Como dato curioso muchos artistas han utilizado este concepto del Narcisismo en sus obras incluyendo espejos alrededor de sus obras, siempre con la finalidad del que el espectador sea parte del arte.
