welcome to weekly status report 17/2017 for Steem-Exclusive PermaCryptoFolio experiment.
What an awesome week. Bitcoin at Alltime High, and a lot of altcoins gained another 30-50% over last week. I'm little bit concerned about the problems around Tether, because the USDT peg seems not work to at the moment.
Development of the portfolio values in US Dollar compared to a pure Bitcoin investment (orange line). For better comparability FLIPPER portfolio value is divided by 12 and ARIELLE portfolio value is divided by 4.

The FLIPPER Portfolio
See below the current state of the FLIPPER Portfolio. I am undecided how to deal with USDT due to the Problems between Wells Fargo and Bitfinex. Shall I close the USDT position and hold all cash in SBD instead? What do you think about USDT? I will give away 5x1 STEEM for USDT related comments. This is also a test if anybody reads the text.
Unfortunatly I missed the ATH in XEM for a rebalancing. When I checked the prices yesterday, XEM was traded at 3950 Satoshis and the XEM portion inside the altcoin portfolio was around 24,5%. But no reason for sadness, because I expect a full rebalancing in the next days because the altcoin portion is near the rebalancing treshold at 41,6% (= 5/12th of total portfolio value.)
The ARIELLE Portfolio
The state of the ARIELLE portfolio before todays rebalancing:
ARIELLE covers all altcoins on the ranks 10 till 25, if they are tradeable on BITTREX, KRAKEN or POLONIEX exchange. That's why BITCONNECT is disregarded. Same applies for USD TETHER.
Calculation of the number of Token to buy or sell during rebalancing. Ardor ARDR replaced ByteCoin BCN.

Withdraw all the funds out of the exchanges!
It is strongly recommended to withdraw all funds out of Cryptocurrency exchanges when not needed for trading there.

Really with regard to USD.....it seems certain this will be a more frequent happening than a one off as banks are on the edge of trouble.
Steem is not a bad pace to have your funds as it is becoming more accessible. BitSilver at BitShares seems a good idea as well. Another place to hold money may be GoldMoney.com....it is reported they accept BTC and issue debit cards.

Immer wieder interessant. Die zahlreichen Altcoins machen die Situation sehr kompliziert. Da sind solche Portfolios eine gute Strategie.

While I dont know enough about the USDT Problem to give qualified opinion in that, puuting all eggs in one basket is never a good idea. Maybe switch to bitUSD (that is simply the only alternative I know of).
Hmm, thank you for your comment :-) bitUSD is an option, but not tradeable on Poloniex and Bittrex.
