Just some thoughts on the new Splinterlands update from an MTG player perspective =)

So I've been playing Splinterlands for almost two years now. .

The game is really interactive in a sense that it gives the players a lot of parameters where on how/where they invest, (cards,dec,sps,packs etc..) which I think really builds a solid foundation on the game in terms on economy. Of all the NFT games that I played, I would say that Splinterlands is the, how should I say this? hmmmmmmmm. . the most feasible and has the most value appreciation in terms of long term investments. .

I'm really excited for the new soulbound cards to be implemented! Sure it would reduce our income when playing at around 20-30% (based on stats on my monitoring sheet) , but I do think that it will help the economy in the long term. . as card prices will inevitably go up due to its lack of supply. .

For those who don't know yet. Here are the updates for the soulbound rewards:

37 Monster cards
6 Summoner cards (one from each element except Neutral)
12 Legendary cards (two from each basic element, one Dragon, and one Neutral)
7 Epic cards (one from each element)
12 Rare cards (two from each basic element, one Dragon, and one Neutral)
12 Common cards (two from each basic element and two Neutral)

▪️Conscript is a new ability which will be available on Summoners only, and when a Summoner with the Conscript ability is chosen, it will allow the player to use one more Gladiator card in the battle than normal. This means that Gladiator cards will now be able to be played outside of brawls, including in ranked and tournament battles!

▪️When a character with the Martyr ability dies in a battle, it gives adjacent characters +1 to all stats.

▪️ A character with the Weapons Training ability will "train" any adjacent characters with no attack, thereby giving them an attack of the same type as the character with the Weapons Training ability.
