There is a lot of emphasis in the film on how Openheimer was motivated to create the bomb exclusively because of being at war with Germany. So while the idea of secret groups developing weapons is unquestionably explored it is justified by the extreme circumstances.
Personally I didn't believe much of it. Propaganda comes in many forms. Films being a major one. I am in the camp that weapons of mass destruction don't even exist. At least not in the public realm. Much more effective at controlling the people is the fear of such weapons. And this fear is still being used today with great effect.
I wrote a post about this subject last year in fact: https://peakd.com/hive-122315/@samstonehill/the-nuclear-scam-exposed
Wow!!!
You have so many many blog posts I need to catch up on.
This - must get my EE husband (electrical engineer, god of electromagnetic radio waves or frequencies or something like that) to read this!
Now I wonder about your EE friend...
Does he blog, does he publish?
Interesting stuff right.
Unfortunately this man does not blog. I know him because he owns a solar company in Indonesia and I ended up making some films for him back when we lived in Bali. He seems like a busy guy to me but I could probably have him answer questions if your husband has any.
