At least two people died in landslide in the Philippines. Today this happened on Thursday morning at Cebu Island in the three villages of the Philippines. The authorities said that the landslide was done in rural agricultural area due to heavy rainfall.
10 to 15 houses buried under ground floor
Regional Civil Defense Officer Neil Balaba told AFP that two people were killed in the landslide. Both of them were rescued in the injured condition. He said the rescue workers said that at least ten to 15 houses were buried underground in the landslide.
Earlier on Friday night, the strongest typhoon Mangkut hit the mainland of the northeast of the Philippines. The storm hit the Lebanese main island of the Philippines. At least 20 people were killed in a storm that lasted for 20 hours. Most of the dead people have been killed in landslides in the mountainous area. More than a hundred people took shelter in temporary shelters. Communication and crop damage have caused extensive damage.
