I can boldly say that steemit is taking people off the street. If steemit has not been in existence, the uemployed set of people that are benefiting from it will be on the street. And while on the streets, a lot an happen that might result into some being locked of up for crimes committed. But this platform has given people the opportunity to make something out of life.
