The use of an owl as a symbol of wisdom was influenced by Greek mythology, wherein the owl is a representation of the Greek Goddess of Wisdom, Athena.

Yet in India, the owl is not considered as wise. It is a symbol of foolishness since in Indian mythology, the bird is seen as the vehicle of goddess Lakshmi (goddess of wealth) when this kind of wealth is attained by foul means.

Owls are associated with magic and witchcraft. In the Harry Potter series, young wizards communicate by owl messengers instead of instant messengers. One reason why owls look so steadily at us that we might think he is studying our minds is that the light is so strong in the daytime that their sight is bad. But owls are not as wise as we thought they are :)

Yes in Harry Potter became their messengers instead of ravens like in Game of Thrones. Is it the same look we had when we get glared by light? πŸ˜€

I am pretty sure, sis :)
