As things stand today around the world, it looks like there's a huge possibility that what you say will be the case sooner than many expect. Although many of those who have never worked or produced anything with their own hands find it difficult to survive. :)

Gotta get free energy tech out, because the moneyed psychopaths in control on Our planet (by virtue of money) are aiming for a Skynet/Terminator ending for Humanity. We need to strip Them of the tool that allows Them to buy the things and the People to Their agendas.
And We do not need to work to live richly, but most of Us will do work We love to do, finding what helps the most.
