Giving Yourself Permission...

in #philosophy4 years ago

A story forming in my head lead me to write.
No words came staring at the screen.
Pictures formed in my head, plots twists and all.
My mind danced with the colors of a burning campfire in the darkest night.
Two people were meeting.
I did not know why.
I could see it.
I could feel it.
It was hiding away.
My hands started to itch.
I could not draw what I was seeing.
This I knew.
It did not stop me from standing up to find where my paper and pencil went.
I permitted myself to just draw.
I permitted myself to not care how it turned out.
Wearing the wrong glasses didn't hurt anything but my eyes.
Pencil flew.
Eraser followed.
My eyes became blurry with the wrong glasses on.
No time to stop.
My hand moved of its own accord.
Telling the tale inside my head.
It is not a masterpiece by any means.
It doesn't need to be.
It gave me joy.
It filled me with wonder.
It felt good and right.
It was my present from God this night.
The choice to let yourself relax.
Make mistakes.
Bring yourself joy and laughter with a pencil and paper.
The little things in life...
Count.

Help someone smile today. It can not hurt you.

Ohhhhh. How wonderful.

I call that 'getting a spider in my head'. The bastard may tread lightly for a while, just be bits and pieces of an idea. But when the spider calls he'll touch every part of my brain until I answer.

When the spider really gets going, I just as well get up and do whatever because there is no peace or mercy until I do.

I'm really glad it worked out for you. Thanks for sharing.

there is no peace or mercy until I do.

Perfectly said!! :D

and now finally sleep!!!

Have a wonderful day!!
