Everyday heroes exist for sure. I know many who have done some pretty incredible things that were outside of what they "had to do" - but they will not be remembered by most. Even Malala, a thousand years from now will it have made a mark in history? I am not sure. Perhaps in the past it was easier to create legends, because they were unable to be torn down through accessibility and transparency on their daily lives. Even 50 years ago, actors used to be enigmas - now they are broadcasting the minutiae of their life on instagram for advertising money. They make their image a target to destroy, not enhance.
