separating consciousness from materiality

in #philosophy3 years ago

I think the idea of separating consciousness from materiality is flawed and has lead to a lot of problems
in other words cartesian dualism leads to dead ends
i havent worked stuff out yet but i think consciousness is emergent from stuff existing at all
its not a prerequisite for existing it just goes hand in hand
like u cant have water that isnt wet
i need to research this more because i have the inklings of a sort of theory somewhere, but it is like in that proto intuition stage and not worked out
i think it is naturally emergent and that life is as well
and there is really no line between living and dead things
just what we recognize as more like us
but the thing about objectivity being a "construct" i get from heidegger, who i reccommend reading if you are interested
