Nature is cruel to wildlife photographers. Yep, it is like that. Dens in dark places, bushes hiding the view, busy background, ugly foreground. Ah, almost forgot - elusive, non-cooperative animals.
But sometimes, several times in a lifetime, photography gods are smiling to us. This picture is an example of their kindness to me that day. All the elements of the photograph came together as it rarely happens: great light, poses of foxes, background, the blur of the grass on the foreground and even a spiny shrub on the foreground works so well.

Regarding 500mm lens - I got mine at second hand market. It doesn't have Image Stabilization, so what? Nowadays you can find fantastic deals on old glass.
