I thought I was going to get eaten....

Being stalked by a predator has to be one of the most harrowing feelings. Thankfully for me there was an electric fence but I wasn't at ease.
All across the zoo, fences were sparking and shorting with the rain. I took off my white jumper and immediately drew the attention of this lioness.

Her eyes saw straight through me and you could tell she was only after a meal, apparently choosing black and white attire is not the best way to camouflage from a zebra loving hungry mum of three.

She followed me up and down the fence line as I moved around the enclosure and scouted my nearest exists should she attempt jumping. Her antics ended up drawing a crowd and with one last wistful look at my zebra/chickenesque jumper she sauntered off to go check her cubs once more.

The cubs, taking full advantage of mums attention being diverted were playing and practicing25075110_10154987620816218_686789154705317890_o.jpg their own prey take downs.
