Lockdown Light Painting exercise with living room plants.
Looking for photography subjects. Where is my next model? What am I going to photograph?

During a Lockdown situation, I kept running around my home to find things to Light Paint. Then you find a lot of plants and I started photographing them. But for some reason, I have not looked beyond the normal spectrum at them. For many years I have had a UV Flashlight. Not very expensive or very special, but I have one.
Während der Lockdown-Situation rannte ich immer wieder durch mein Haus, um Dinge zum LightPainten zu finden. Dann and ich in paar Pflanzen und ich habe angefangen sie zu fotografieren. Aber aus irgendeinem Grund habe ich sie nicht über das normale Spektrum hinaus betrachtet. Ja Ich habe seit vielen Jahren eine UV-Taschenlampe. Nicht sehr teuer oder sehr speziell, aber ich habe einen.
Last week when having a visitor (@stepko) we both ran around together and pointed the UV light at my plants. At first, this was not very exciting but then boom the fiddle leaf looked almost red. I placed the Flashlight underneath and the nice cell structure became visible. Super cool!
Letzte Woche, als Ich dann Besuch (@stepko) hatte, sind wir beide zusammen herumgelaufen und haben das UV-Licht (die UV Taschenlampe lag da einfach rum) auf meine Pflanzen gerichtet. Das war zunächst nicht sehr aufregend, aber dann sahen wir das Blatt von meiner GeigenFeige und es sah fast rot aus. Dann hielt Ich die Taschenlampe darunter und dann kam auch noch die schöne Zellstruktur schön hervor. Sehr cool!
When you just apply normal white light from an angle you can make the texture of the leaf visible. But it does not particularly pop in your face as something special.
The backside of the leaf seems to have the most fluorescent particles in the cell structure. When I shine the light from underneath to the top side it makes the cell walls reflect the UV light much more.
Die Rückseite des Blattes schien die meisten fluoreszierenden Partikel in der Zellstruktur zu haben. Wenn ich das Licht von unten nach oben strahlte, reflektierten die Zellwände das UV-Licht noch viel stärker.
Mixing the normal and UV light here and applying it in the right mix was giving me the best results. At least the shots that looked most amazing to me.
Das Mischen des normalen und des UV-Lichts hier und das Auftragen in der richtigen Mischung brachte mir die besten Ergebnisse. Zumindest die Aufnahmen, die für mich am coolsten aussahen.
What you see as the main featured shot is a 25-second single exposure light painting, with the camera set to ISO 1600 and the lens at F9 on the Sigma 105mm Macro lens. All these shots were taken with the Sigma 105mm Macro. Just like @ewkaw, I use this lens a lot. Inspired by his latest post I wanted to share this with you guys. Great Idea!
Was Ihr als Hauptaufnahme seht, ist ein 25-sekündige Einzelbelichtung Light Painting, bei dem die Kamera auf ISO 1600 und das Objektiv auf F9 am Sigma 105-mm-Makroobjektivs eingestellt ist. Alle diese Aufnahmen wurden mit dem Sigma 105mm Macro gemacht. Genau wie @ewkaw benutze ich dieses Objektiv viel. Inspiriert von seinem neuesten Beitrag wollte ich dies mit euch teilen. Gute Idee 😎

Haha now you can't unsee potential plant subjects. Much the same for me when I see a hole in a wall and wonder how I can fit a 2m tall person in it haha
Ah wie geil. Die Blätter kommen echt gut rüber, gefällt mir sehr Gunnar. Hat sich dann doch gelohnt, wach zu bleiben und noch ein wenig mit den Lampen zu spielen. Bin gespannt was Dan noch so kommt, vielleicht ne kleine coole Rotation!? 😬
Freut mich, dass du das auch so siehst. Ja Camera Rotation ist auf jeden Fall auf dem Plan. Silhouette mit UV Light Skin irgendwas dingsta. Jaaa meeeehr.
