This 'Not from Today' but it is from the 4th of May
Four shots today spread over 10 years and three continents, working backwards
2019 - Baboons at Melbourne Zoo - I had bought a new lens for a upcoming holiday to Kenya and Tanzania, and I needed to test it, also I wasn't used to shooting wildlife so I thought practice was necessary - I like the backlighting in this shot
2018 - I was playing around with Natural density filters - this is a 26 second shot. It's taken from a floating pier of some of the apartment buildings of Docklands Melbourne.
2011 - Alcatraz in San Francisco on my first trip to the US of A - by this point of the holiday we had spent a week in New York with my brother, then spent some time in Washington and were on our way home - sort of - I really liked San Francisco and I loved my day on Alcatraz, as you can see it was a perfect spring day
2009 - This is London, absolutely typical London. This was my first big trip overseas, I'd tooled around the south pacific, gone back and forth to New Zealand a few times but this was the first time that I'd spent 20 something hours on a place going to the other side of the world. My now wife convinced me to go, her best friend/ex housemate was living in London at the time so we were visiting her, I was just amazed at a true 'big city'
And that my friends was my life on the 4th of May but not from today, because let's face it I'm not going anywhere today.
