Evening walks lead to all sort of interesting things. But sometimes just the act of pointing your camera yields results you weren't expecting. I was trying to just line up these old telephone poles, and turns out I caught the moon at the same time. Not planned - but i really like the way this turned out. In the thumbnail it kind of looks like a cross...but then zooming in you get a completely different experience. Everything just lined up for this shot...even the moon is horizontally level(ish) with the cross beam of the pole. :)

Here's another shot from the same shoot (you can tell by the sky). This one I thought looked like a jump of some sort, and that reminded me of a time when my brother and I were kids. We made a jump from bricks and plywood. We raced down a hill on our bikes and I made it...he landed on his head. Oh the days before helmets!
I think today is going to be another city hike experiment to see what fun things I can capture. I've got to keep getting out and practicing with this new camera - sony still feels so weird compared to my canon. But I just chalk that up to not having time with the buttons yet. I'm sure soon it'll feel like second nature.

The post that I did just today on Lee's Ferry has a daylight full moon in it that I hadn't noticed until today. That photo is 7 years old...
I always said I'd rather be lucky than good.
Thanks for the great photos. Looking forward to your 'walkabout'.
Random footage is always interesting. I also like to do such experiments. Sometimes it can be very unusual photo stories. Thank you for sharing Your story about it :)

Great shots mate. I love the tones you have used. Particularly the power pole one. Matches the content/composition well.
