Super cool stuff! I actually just watched The Thing for the first time this week, and my biggest complaint was the regular day/night cycle when it was supposed to be Antarctica in the winter.

lol! I have always harbored a desire to spend a winter in antarctica. Fun fact: the folks that spend time down there have a tradition where they watch The Thing at the beginning of each winter: https://www.techly.com.au/2015/09/04/south-pole-tradition-watching-thing-start-every-winter/
