Hi Friends!
First full day in Croatia - we came to our apartment late evening day before. We found a nice apartment clost to Trogir on an Island called Čiovo.
Apartment building was located on a steep hills among other apartment houses and private properties.
Here are few shots from the apartment's balcony:
After long trip previous day we decided to explore the nearest area of our place and rest a bit.
First - we went to the nearest beach.
It was made of small, white stones, or rather crushed white rocks and bigger boulders. By the beach we could see small sea harbour with motor boats and small paddle boats. Little bit further coast is located big camping site with more beaches and boats.
Most of the coastline nearby was made artificially. There are no any natural beaches which can be easily accessed.
To find more natural coastline we had to travel to different parts of the Island - but such trip we made on the second day...
After short rest on the beach we decided to walk towards the Trogir Old Town.
It was not a long distance, around 4 km - it took us around 40 minutes to go there.
Beautiful nature, houses, modern villas and many costruction sites on the way. We really enjoy this exploration to get know a bit more nature around us - big, wild, flowering Opuntia cactus, running lizards, big, colorful insects - nature in Croatia is much more exotic then I thought.
As we reached the top spot of our footpath - we finally saw Trogir in the distance.
From this point of view I was also capture few shots of Old Twon where we headed.

The island Čiovo is connected with main land and Trogir by two bridges. It is a great starting point for town exploration as well as resting in the nearby beaches, restaurants and beach bars.
It was a good choice to stay there. We had everythiong what needed in a very short distance.

Island Čiovo is sure good to visit, the nature there look so cool, and I have not seen pictures of these town before, thanks for feeding me with clear pictures of these beautiful city, I love places that has beaches and good restaurant, In the near future, I will visit island Čiovo, Croatia.
The Island is a good location to rest and what is most important - it is close to Trogir which has one of the most beautiful Old Towns in Croatia... I am sure You will like it :)

Advantageous view over buildings onto the water, centrally situated will help moving around on foot or jumping trams from village to village.
Fake beaches, oh well cannot have everything on demand.

About the beach- in most areas near the towns beaches are made by people to give an easy and soft access to the Sea for the tourists - but if You travel further outside the towns You can find many natural jewels - but most of the natural beaches in Croatia are hard to get to and made of rocks and stone boulders.
Tourism is changing the natural coastline everywhere in the world...
We naturally have more white sandy beaches, rocky areas more sparse along our coast, enjoy both. Yes man made beaches to attract tourists is happening in more places all the time.
