It was really cold. Going to the mountains for Christmas holidays seemed like a good idea, but for us, citizens accustomed to all the comforts, it turned out to be a disappointment. The house was uncomfortable and small, but the worst part was that we didn't have enough wood for heating worthy of the name. Luckily for the children it was all an adventure and even sleeping all together in the living room near the stove was a fun game for them, a kind of camping. The next morning wakes me up early and through the frozen glass of the window I saw only a white expanse of snow and suddenly I was invaded by a feeling of peace and serenity.
