Gorgeous. Glow.
Shooting portrait in the evening is not the easiest thing to do. Using a wide aperture lens and a flashlight (with a tiny and cute softbox on it) and taking advantage of the surrounding artificial lights can yield some interesting results! π
I went to Leiden. one of the oldest cities in Holland, with this model and we only had about 15 minutes before she had to go to her next appointment again.
Shot with an Samyang 85mm @ 1.4 on my Sony A7II
We worked with what we got.
No natural light, no time, and just this big ass billboard. π·π
I am happy how that day turned out to be. Let me know what you use in the night to make shoots more bearable! from coffee to flashlights, I am all ears.
As always thanks for your time, I hope you enjoyed this. Feedback is always appreciated!

You need to photograph ugly people. Pretty people aren't a challenge!
I don't agree 100% there it's funny how fake pretty people can look on images. But sure thing, I need to get back to photographing homeless folks and other troubled souls. It's indeed one of the things I am thinking about doing in February. ^^
Thank for your comment S.

nicely done! do you have vending machines there? they also make great light sources at night. here in japan they are everywhere lucky for me :D
Haha, that is a great tip indeed! We dont have many places where they stand sadly!

I like how the background light suits the colors of her skin and hair! Really nice atmosphere.
Her lipstick is what makes the image just not to dull! The background and her skin otherwise would maybe have looked to pale without the contrast of her lips! π thanks for you kind comment!

I like redheads (and the bilboard trick). Did you stretch her neck in post?
I try to find some available light source or shoot in long exposure at night.
I did indeed do some editing on her lines yes! Sharp sight as always @shortcut. Thank you for your comment.
Long exposure is great for sure!
Evening!
