In photography, this title can mean knowing when and where the sun will rise, knowing what your lense will produce for you when scouting for a shot, and endless other variables not least of which is knowing that if you set up next to the only small puddle of liquid water and walk off to enjoy the morning while you wait for sunrise, that the birds will make use of your equipment as they patiently wait for their morning drink!
I came back to 20 or so birds sitting on my tripod and camera and around the area constantly taking turns roosting and drinking. I scared them off before I could get this pic.
They taught me another valuable lesson. A sturdy tripod is worth the extra carry weight!
