Rare photo flipped iceberg

Unusual photo published the expedition to Antarctica, which sailed around the continent in December 2014. The expedition was the photographer Alex Cornell, who photographed a rare flipped iceberg. Pictures of "big blue" made in the Drake passage, The Daily Mail reports

 The overturning of icebergs is quite rare, as 90% of ice is usually under water. This underwater ice has an incredible color and texture, cleaned from snow.

Scientists claim that blue is an indicator of the age of the iceberg. This lump, presumably, hundreds of thousands of years.

The photos immediately became very popular on the Internet.
