The way butterflies have intercourse

Hi good friend HIVE!

Let's explore how butterflies develop their habitat #naturally!

As has been explained in previous posts that the butterfly is very interesting when we trace it both in terms of the beginning of the incident and procedure for hooking his partner when entering the mating season.

In this case the researchers very rarely make observations or conduct a study of the procedures for butterflies to have sex, so that everyone is very difficult to explain.

However, in one of the well-known media, namely National Geography, it was briefly described by a researcher named Antonio Minteiro who came from one of the countries of Singapore.

He said that a butterfly when having intercourse shortly after emerging from a cocoon and soon it will turn into an adult butterfly. This also happens not to all butterflies, but he said, the butterflies mate as mentioned above depending on the individual species of each butterfly. One of them is the butterfly contained in this post.

Then, Monteiro added that,

Every butterfly that has a curva then it will mate by itself when it comes out of the cocoon, this has become a common phenomenon in this species, because this butterfly has indeed been destined for such characteristics when he was just born from a cocoon.

The truth of his words was reinforced by the author himself when observing for a week about the events of each butterfly that did begin with,

  • Eggs
  • Caterpillar/larva
  • Cocoons,
  • and become ordinary butterflies in general

So when the butterfly has come out of its cocoon, the newborn male will wait for the birth of a betina or female butterfly.

So these two characteristics that are always reviewed will be their action in finding a partner when they want to multiply their offspring.

In this case, based on observations it was found that there are two characteristics of butterflies that have procedures for intercourse such as,

1Passive males
2Males who are active or who always patrol
The way the passive butterfly looks for a partner

As has been explained above when the passive model butterfly decides its partner when it comes out of its cocoon, the male will continue to wait in their hatched territory, the male will continue to monitor the female that will come out of the cocoon. When the wait is bearing fruit then he will mark his partner.

When the female will agree to her partner in a certain way done by the male. Then the agreement will continue until the next stage. Surely the male does certain actions to attract his partner.

If when a male butterfly waits for its mate in the area of birth there are no mates, it will become an active butterfly patrolling looking for a mate outside its habitat.

Active male

As has been explained above when they do not find a partner then he will become an active butterfly who is always patrolling in looking for his partner.

In this case the active butterfly experiences severe things in his life when looking for his mate, because for female butterflies who have become another male partner, he will always be loyal to his partner meaning they do not want to be married by other males.

Sometimes an active butterfly who always patrols in search of a mate will try as hard as possible by doing his own tricks to attract the attention of female butterflies that have not been marked by other male butterflies. This means that an active male butterfly pair will naturally mate with an active female butterfly.

This tiring story, sometimes prevented by other active butterflies, when that happens then the split will occur sometimes experience fierce fights between fellow males in capturing the female.

Of course there are fights lost and there is a win and whoever wins then he will be his partner.

Then how is the next step?

So in this case will be resumed in a future post with the title, "The female will always be loyal to her partner" .......
