Mount Sumbing has a forest area of Dipterocarp Hill, Upper Dipterocarp Forest, Montane forest, and Ericaceous Forest or mountain forest. Most of the mountain slope has been used for agricultural land.
For those of you who want to climb Mount Sumbing for the first time, it is advisable to go through the Garung path because of its location that is easy to reach and quite popular, so you will find many together.
Mount Sumbing itself has 2 peaks, namely Puncak Buntu (3362 Mdpl), and Puncak Sejati (3371 Mdpl), usually the climbers only reached the Peak Buntu because it is easier, but if you want to reach the Peak Truth is also no problem.

Mountain Climbing Tips
*There is only one water source that is near Pos 1, from Post 1 we still have to walk about 100 meters to reach the water source, the location is behind the motorcycle taxi, but sometimes during the dry season the source of this water is dry.*

*Bring enough water supplies because the water source is only contained in Pos 1 and sometimes also dry, at least 1 person carrying 3 bottles of 1.5 liter size.*

The path of Mount Sumbing via Garung is quite difficult because of climbing steadily, so prepare your physic first before starting to climb.

Usually climbers set up the last tent before the *summit in Pestan and below, but more recommended under the Pestan because many trees, if you set up in Pestan quite prone to storms because there are no trees that block.*
