Macrophotography - The lonely fireflies

in #photography7 years ago

I found a bush in my countryside (France, Drôme), where a lot of fireflies were hunting (and/or mating maybe ?).

It was surprisingly easy to approach them, because they weren't afraid at all.
With my 105mm macro lens, I could reach a closer distance of some centimeters without scaring them.

Here are some nice pic that I wanted to share with you guys :)

Enjoy !

As you can see, there were so many different colours of fireflies :)

So cute !

These are fantastic macros. I have never had any success photographing dragonflies... they always fly off!

Thank you very much :)
I was lucky enough to not disturb them :)

Well done @blakscorpion It's very hard to capture these lovely creatures. I have tried many times. Either they are too small in the frame, out of focus if I go too close, or blurred through hand shaking.

I know this feeling man ;)
90% of my pics where out of focus. HandHeld macro is pretty difficult, and tripod is useless because the wind makes move the grass or the leaves where the animals are.

I love macro photography! It's one of my favorite forms of photography! Beautiful dragon flies you have captured here! I have up voted your post here and I've also followed you! Please keep up the good work and I hope to see more from you in the near future!!! :)

I will for sure :)
Thank you !
