So, I wanted to post it for #bouldersunday, but somehow I didn't get around to write it on a Sunday. I don't want to wait another week, hence I do it today although that means that my China news round-up will probably be posted rather late. | Teil 2 des MBM-Blicks 113, 2 Wochen nach Teil 1. Sorry, aber in diesem Beitrag sind einfach zuviele interessante Steine, weshalb ich das für den #bouldersunday schreiben wollte. Bin nur nicht dazu gekommen, an einem Sonntag zu schreiben. Will nicht noch eine Woche warten, also schreibe ich heute, auch wenn das bedeutet, daß meine China-Nachrichten recht spät werden. |

| Most of the pictures today are from some fields quite high up. The fields were lying dormant, so I didn't disturb any crop. The photo below is not yet from any of these fields. That's just some grass on a mountainside overlooking Patras. | Die meisten der heutigen Bilder stammen von einigen Feldern ziemlich hoch oben. Diese lagen brach, ich habe also nix zertrampelt. | Beside one of the fields was the group of trees below. It was winter, so they had shed their leaves (although that's hardly necessary in the climate here). Gave them a rather artsy look: | Neben einem der Felder stand die folgende Baumgruppe. Es war Winter & die Bäume hatten ihre Blätter abgeworfen (bei dem Klima hier eher unnötig). | Someone obviously had played around with some boulders in the fields. There were a number of these 'cairns'. Too small for burials, & there were no trails to be marked, so I don't know what that was about. | Jemand hatte offenbar mit den Steinen auf dem Feld herumgespielt. Es standen dort eine Anzahl kleiner Steinmännchen. Zu klein für Begräbnisse, aber es gab auch keine zu markierenden Wege, von daher keine Ahnung, was das sollte. |

| The next image shows a plant which is quite common here. Looks like a mix between dandelion & thistle. Couldn't find out what it really is. | Agriculture must be a pain in the arse, though, because of all the stones. Yet, if you like to take pictures of interesting stones, Greece is the place to be. The next one is particularly interesting for me, because it reminds me of a thousand year egg: | Ackerbau muß jedoch eine Qual sein, wegen der ganzen Steine. Aber wenn man interessante Steine mag, ist Griechenland genau richtig. Der nächste ist für mich von besonderem Interesse, weil er mich an ein tausendjähriges Ei erinnert: |

| In between the fields was also a small solar farm. Don't really see the point, since it was too small to generate a lot of electricity. Would make more sense to put the solar panels on some buildings. This is just a waste of space. | Zwischen den Feldern war auch eine kleiner Solarpark. Macht dort eigentlich nicht viel Sinn, da er zu klein ist, um größere Mengen Strom zu erzeugen. Wäre besser, die Solarzellen an Gebäuden anzubringen. So ist das nur Platzverschwendung. |

| Well, OK, a bit small for a dolmen. & obviously, the one who built it was not the most capable builder. The backside of the dolmen is rather disappointing: | Nunja, etwas klein für ein Hünengrab. & offensichtlich war der Erbauer nicht unbedingt sehr fähig. Die Rückseite ist eher enttäuschend: |

| But, well, the material isn't right, I think (but who knows, you use what you can get), & the upper part also doesn't look right. | Aber das Material passt nicht ganz, denke ich (aber wer weiß, man nimmt, was man kriegen kann), & sieht rechts auch etwas seltsam aus. |

| Above is another rock that looks a bit like fossilised wood. & below one with a more crystalline structure, purplish, to boot. | Oben sieht man noch einen Brocken, der wie versteinertes Holz aussieht. & unten ist einer mit eher kristalliner Struktur, noch dazu lila. |

So many awesome rocks! The Very old egg one looks kinda like
tiger eye. Mushrooms, miniature dolmens and a great sunset!
Those bluish stones are really pretty! Maybe some of the
rock stacks are boundary markers? Thank you for showing all
these different stones and scenery, real beautiful there!

If the rock stacks are boundary markers, they would be the first I have seen here in over 2 years. Wouldn't rule it out, but boundaries between fields here are usually marked by walls (that's the traditional way) or fences. I suspect that some kids played there, but that's just speculation.
